About this Mechanism

The Atebubu and Wiase Forest Landscape Restoration Project is committed to operating with transparency, accountability, and respect for the rights and dignity of all individuals and communities involved in or affected by our work.

If you have a concern, complaint, or grievance related to the project — including issues related to land, livelihoods, labour, environmental impacts, community relations, or any other matter — we want to hear from you.

You can raise your concern confidentially and, if you prefer, anonymously. All submissions are treated seriously and will be reviewed in accordance with our Grievance Mechanism procedures.

Who can submit a grievance?

Anyone affected by or involved in the project can submit a grievance — community members, farmers, workers, partners, and any other individuals or groups.

Can I submit a grievance anonymously?

Yes. You are not required to provide your name or contact details. However, this may limit our ability to follow up with you on the outcome.

What types of concerns can I report?

Any concern related to the project, including: 

  • Land and natural resource access
  • Livelihoods and economic impacts
  • Labour and working conditions
  • Environmental and social impacts
  • Conduct of project staff or partners
What happens after I submit?

All submissions are acknowledged and reviewed. We aim to respond within 15 working days. You will be kept informed where contact details have been provided.

Can I submit in a local language?

Yes. You may submit in English or a local language. We will make every effort to process submissions in the language provided.

Is there another way to raise a concern?

Yes. For serious governance concerns, use the AstraZeneca Ethics Helpline.
